Nutrition and Oral Health Professional Education Online:
Continuing education and quick reference available for dieticians and other health professionals

The Pacific West MCH Distance Learning Network is a partnership between the USC UCEDD at CHLA and the Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington, Seattle. MCHB funding was awarded from 2000 – 2005.

Under the guidance of nutrition and dental experts from thirteen states, three curricula have been developed to strengthen nutrition services and their families.

    Nutrition for Children with Special Health Care Needs

    • Self Study Curriculum: The self study curriculum focuses on how to effectively access and apply nutrition-related oral health information in a clinical setting.
    •  Group Study Curriculum: Recognizing that some information is best learned in a group setting, this curriculum contains a complete set of materials for easy presentation.

    • This web-based curriculum focuses on how to effectively access and apply nutrition-based oral health information in the clinical setting.
