Medical Therapy Units (MTUs)

The USC UCEDD at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles works in conjunction with California Childrens Services (CCS) to provide nutrition services to the school-based Medical Therapy Units (MTUs) and Therapy Units (TUs). Nutrition services are provided in MTUs via referral by MTU physicians throughout Los Angeles County.

USC UCEDD nutritionists provide a focus on nutrition intervention by assessing nutritional status, planning, organizing and providing the intervention with the assistance of the MTU staff (Occupational Therapists & Physical Therapists).
