The mission of the CHILD Center is to promote access to comprehensive services and supports for children with special health care needs and their families

Center Objectives

  • To promote interdisciplinary leadership development through training of professionals, parents and others serving children.

  • To develop and implement models of interdisciplinary and early intervention service for children.

  • To promote access to comprehensive health care services, including preventive care, for children.

  • To foster the development of advocacy skills for parents and professionals to improve health care services for children.

  • To influence policies that improve the systems of health care for children.
